This was taken at the local arboretum when I was in there briefly for prom pictures back when I was a senior in high school. Paul and Meghan were a very serious long time couple and Paul had been a close friend of mine for quite a while so when he asked me to do some portraits for him I couldn't very well say no. I told them to dance in this area and I just lurked around them waiting for just the moment to take the shot, and I think I found it. I really felt this captured how they felt about each other back then and the pose is so sincere. Her dress is perfectly frozen in mid spin and the composition is pretty nice as it makes you feel like she'd been spinning away from the center of the frame because of the ground.

I really love this one, it's a shame they broke up about a year ago. I used this one for my portfolio when I got into art school.
